Timo and I had an interesting discussion yesterday about designing experiences. He has developed a three layer model for experiences in Touch, and I have been working on Experiences as part of AT-ONE. During the conversation we realised that the term we need to describe this is Experience Ecologies - a holistic approach to experiences that cover form, interaction, time throughout the whole service journey.
Naively hoping that we had discovered a new term, I searched Google, only to find that Peter Morville mentioned this in 2007 (but not as well as we discuss it).
No matter. I think the term experience ecologies is something we should consider adopting in the Interaction Design group.
